North Coast LEAN meeting with Guest Jack Mundey, Sun 14 Aug

Sean Kidney 05 July 2005

North Coast LEAN will commence with a free Sunday afternoon function at the Victory Hotel Mooball (located on the old Pacific Highway near the Tweed Byron Shire boundary). For this occasion we have been fortunate in obtaining a very distinguished guest speaker, Jack Mundey.

Jack Mundey was of course one of the most pragmatically effective conservationists of heritage and public open space that Sydney has ever seen, as well as an early champion of aboriginal and women's rights, and he promises to share with us some relevant insights into that period of historic struggle.

When: 2pm, Sunday August 14. NOTE: This date has CHANGED from previous date advertised.

Where: Victory Hotel, Mooball.

Cost: no cost, although lunch & drinks available from hotel at cost.

RSVP: essential, as limited places. Don McAllister 02 6674 1211.

Transport: subject to numbers, a free return bus will be available from Tweed Heads, calling at coastal villages on the way.

This function is open to ALP members only.
