LEAN Capital Region will be meeting to discuss developments in the Enviro Laws campaign.
We will be hosting advocates from 350.org who will be discussing their involvement in the Repower Queanbyan Campaign being organised by the Nature Conservation Council of NSW (the launch details can be found at https://www.evensi.com/repower-monaro-launch-queanbeyan-south-wales-2620/262678342).
LEAN is an ALP cross-factional advocacy network for environmental progress - if you've got an issue you're keen to discuss, come along to our meeting.

LEAN National co-hosted a parliamentary event with Tony Burke and Mark Butler last month. We saw Caucus members of all stripes come together to celebrate that 418 sub-branches have now passed the LEAN motion in favour of an election commitment to re-write our environment laws. Bill Shorten spoke about how powerful rank-and-file policy campaigns are and considers LEAN to be a great example for passionate Labor members.
Andrew Leigh has kindly contributed to our Loved & Local social media campaign to raise awareness of why new federal environment laws are needed to protect our local areas we love. You can watch it by clicking the picture below.
Come to our July meeting to hear how you can get your local MPs involved.
